The power supply to my 1197 is so loose trolling over wake will dislodge the wire. 

 

Thoughts?

Could you firm up the connection by wrapping it with teflon tape?

Get a piece of plastic wedge and stick it in there along side, after plugging it in. 

A touch of glue , wedge , or good old reliable duct tape ,

I wouldn’t use glue.

Yeah not glue,  jb weld would be way better. 

 

But really,  can you throw a wrap of electrical tape around it that it doesn't interfere with the connection but makes it more snug?

You need to take a needle nose and reach in the male connector and bend one of wires very slightly to give it some friction in the female side.  Bend them both if you want. 

 

Be delicate.  This ain't a job for club hands, but I've done it often.  It should help hold the connection together and improve the electrical connectivity. 

You could screw a wire clip to the mount to keep the wire from backing out.

 

Looks like you have plenty of holes.
