Me too.  Except I also use a lot of Booyah spinnerbaits as well.  I also second the Zoom curly tail grub trailers.  

I've got a stash of Taylor Man's spinnerbaits on the way.  Anyone used them?

War Eagle gold series, double willow, 3/8 oz. in gold shiner color is my best spinner bait. But all spinnerbaits work, even the dollar ones at WalMart. I just like the gold color of this particular one. Most manufacturers don't make one with a gold skirt. Of course, I can buy replacement skirts and put them on any spinnerbait.

Had another good day yesterday on spinnerbaits .I cast one off and had another break . Had to assemble some more this  morning . They don't last forever ,   after 30 to 50 fish they should be retired .I can  melt them and reuse the hook .This has been my best year ever for spinnerbaits and I have narrowed it down to what I like . 1/2 ounce, simply because I am a better caster with that size  . A willow leaf blade number 4 or 4.5 . The secondary blade  can be Indiana , Colorado , or willow I dont have a preference . Just have to make sure the front blade doesn't interfere with the back blade . Willow leafs have to be separated more than Colorados making double willows good for burning , look at AJays spinnerbaits .Gold or chrome , it just doesn't seem to matter . Chartreuse based in the spring then more baitfish color the rest of the year . I don't bother painting the heads . 

 

I'm set for the next outing .See the blade combination on the far left .   This is the 4th lure it has been used on . It originally came off an Excalibur bait . There has been   a hundred to two hundred  bass landed with those blades .Now they are on brand new bait for another 30 or 50 .

Impressive. Where do you buy your supplies?

Booyah makes very good spinnerbaits. Choose one that is best for the place you are fishing in.

There use to be a local tackle store where  I bought a lot of stuff and a mold from . Then I was given some stuff and pick up skirts and swivels wherever I can find them cheap . A local farm store had these little strike king spinnerbaits on clearance for .25 . They had ball bearing swivels . I bought them all just for the swivels . Wal Mart had Strike King blades with ball bearing swivels  .50 cents for a pack of three , I think , maybe five . I bought them all . I have a hundred pounds of lead that was given to me . Another good place to get lead  is the earthen  mounds at a gun range .

Those are some fine looking baits...wish I had a couple in my spinner box.

I like my war eagle spinner baits. I bought a bunch of booyas last year on clearance which, those were the first success I’ve had on spinner baits. Only issue is they don’t hold up all that well. 

Just purchased a white 1/2 oz terminator to try out from eBay. 
 

  I like using 4-6 inch curly tail grubs for trailers. Matching what ever the predominate color is I’ve been using kailin grubs lately but, any will do.  I seem to have more success using mono for line instead of flouro carbon or flouro coated co- Ploy

 

next rabbit hole will be to pour and make my own
