Wait, you guys are lucky enough to have a boat? Lol

If I didn’t have one, I’d be constantly doing whatever I needed to do to buy one. I’m poor folk and I’ve got like 7-8.......... and I’d take a few more! It’s a hopeless addiction

  • Being on early retirement and fixed income, I had to get something I could afford...even still it's taken 3 years (including a bit more this coming winter) to get it rigged 'just so'. On a $1000/year

  • Hand me down from papaw. Just put a new transom in

  • I fish out of a really beat up (now) 16 year old aluminum  16' bass tracker w/a 25hp 4 stroke motor with a bazillion hours on it.    I bought the boat new and paid for it in cash with money

Yes, I use a $500 fishing kayak. I rigged it with a free milk crate and a bunch of PVC vertical rod holders.  I had a bigger, better one that you could stand in, but it weighed almost double my cheap one. So I sold the nice one. I'm in the market for a lighter one with a stadium seat. I do alright from the kayak even in winter. But I am confined to smaller waters. That's fine by me because I used to run and gun the local lake and compete for 1-2 pounders. I'm not looking for competition anymore. And I like the physical activity of it. That said, I may still get a jon boat with electric motor at some point.
