I recently purchased some Lucky Craft Pointer 78SP from Facebook. Everything, from package, barcodes to actual lure details, oval split rings, is the same as my authentic Pointer 100, except they're silent, no bearing balls inside.   I couldn't find any silent Pointer 78 on Lucky Craft official website, and this is the first time I purchased some 78s.   Are these fake? Did anyone use/encounter silent version of Pointer 78?  Thanks！

@OkobojiEagle has made mention of those in the past. 

Not fake... the 78's are made with fixed weights and don't rattle beyond the sound of the trebles.  Productive bait for me.

That is correct.

In fact, to double check I just shook my 78 and 100. 78 has no moving weight. 100 has moving weight.

Those are really productive for me.  I throw them on a spinning rod.  

If you want a bait similar to the 78 pointer with a rattle and weight transfer system to help with casting. I loved the 78, but these have all but replaced them for me.

For sure.  Pointer 78s are great but IMO the Rozys beat them in just about every category other then color options.  The Duo 85 are excellent as well.   

My most productive Jerkbait is the Pointer 78 in Sexy chartreuse in this dirty bayou water. 

 

    Might have to try one of those Rozantes.

I  have a collection of the 78's and just received two of the Duo Realis for my

upcoming trip to Disney Land.  I really bought them to feed my pet brown fish,

but do big green bass like them, too?
