Mine too. But I keep a Chug Bug handy. It does better for me when the water is bathtub warm.

I like the Chug Bug a lot also, but it's almost a hybrid walking/spitting bait like a Gunfish or Showerblows IMO.

My fav was the Spit'n Image by Excalibur now Heddon.  That lure would vortex like a bullet on a cast, so distance wasn't an issue and was just big enough to entice any size bass to bite.
