Recommendations for a less expensive swimbait for my underspin?

Featured Replies

Hey all!  Thanks in advance.  So, last year I used an Owner Flashy Swimmer underspin with a River2Sea D Walker swimbait.  Those D Walkers are $5.00 each.  Anyone have a good recommendation for a D Walker Substitute that might come in a 10pk or 6 pk or something so I might save a little cash?  Thanks again!

Perhaps you're just buying them from the wrong place.

They are $5 a pack here.

Ha.  I really didn't say that well.  My bad.  $5.00 each BAG.  A bag has 3 in them.  Are there other swimbaits even close to the D Walker that you get 6 or 10 to a bag for near the same price as 3 Walkers?  Sorry and thanks!

That seems to be the going rate perhaps even a little cheaper than the going rate for solid body swimbaits.

Maybe check out some of the Z-Man Elaztech stuff.

Price might be a bit more but that stuff is some of the most durable plastic on the market right now.

That could save you a few bucks in the long run

For 5" on underspins, I mostly use Reins Rock Vibe Shad.  Per bait cost is even higher, but they I usually get at least a half dozen fish out of each.

I have no idea whether or not you might want to try these, but they are a LITTLE less expensive than what you're using now. Not only that, but you get a hook! (Wowzers!)   ??

I have been using Zoom Swimmin Super Flukes on underspins.

Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper and/or Little Dipper.

Keitech, or Rage Swimmers

Wal-Mart, or at least the one where I grocery shop, had a great price on Rage Swimmers.

Strike King Rage Swimmers for more aggressive / warmer water bass and Strike King KVD Swim N Shiner for less action in colder water / less aggressive bass .

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with either of these. Should be an easy find. Local shops or even DICKS. Just use TW. On a local scale I’ve never seen D Walkers, but they look good.
