Disney(fl) vacation question

Featured Replies

Taking the family to Disney in mid-May and was wondering guides and best route to go. looking for a 4-5 hr trip and was tossing back and forth between bass fishing or a saltwater trip. my boys are 10 and 12 and we fish regularly off our boat for bass, but they are obviously still beginners and learning. any recommendations for a type of trip that will give them a great memory.

we are staying in the Disney area but have transportation and will be willing to travel

Thanks

The last 3 times I went to Disney, I did a guided trip on Disney water. Each time I caught at least 10 bass. Well worth it.

You get off the boat and Magic Kingdom is quick walk down the path.

It'll be perfect for the boys.

Assuming they don’t put travel restrictions on Florida, I would recommend getting a Disney guide and fish the private Disney property lakes.

ghoti and I just traveled to Disney World  two weeks ago. We fished four days.

On our best day we caught 24 bass, mostly 4-5 lbs, but several big ones, too!

The pics are in the "Fishing Reports" section.

He attended a BassResource Roadtrip at Pickwick and is still a member.

I posted pics in "Fishing Reports", Latest Catch Pictures,  page 269.

X2.  Guides use live bait and you all will have a fun time.

Lake Toho is nearby and one of the best lakes in Florida.  Chuck Pippin is easily the best guide on the lake.  He has a YouTube channel and posts videos of his trips regularly.  he books up pretty quickly so I'd contact him now if you want to go with him.  he does shiner or lure trips and I believe he will even pick you up if you're at a Disney property.

Might just look at a guided trip too.

Lake TaHo offers a lot of opportunity for big bass.
