what is everyone’s favorite Wire gauge for tying jigs?

I like floral copper wire.  I think that it is 24 or 26ga.  I get mine at Lowes.

22 or 24 ga. copper wire.

22 guage copper wire.

*I believe this is your best bet - I get mine from Michaels or Hobby Lobby ... Unless you are tying larger jigs ,  #20 gauge is too large and on the other end #26 gauge is too thin and prone to cutting into your jig skirts. Therefore  , I prefer #24 gauge copper 1st and #22 gauge 2nd. Also be sure to buy good quality copper wire or else the wire will rust and cause a mess . *Conversely , if your jigs are thrown in rough areas where each has a short life span - then it doesn't matter what kind of wire you use .
