Im interested in the poison adrena 6’11” medium + fast action rod. I was wondering if the plus power made it as versatile as a medium heavy i have no experience with plus power rods any help would be appreciated. If it is not as versatile, please let me know what difference the + makes. Thanks in advance. 

To me, those stats on line/lure look more like a MH, not a M...probably why it's rated as a M+

If there were any kind of standards that should be a Medium rod that leans towards Medium Heavy.

Lure ratings are always a sign.  But hell, my Powell 723 casting rods are listed as MH Xf, but fish more like a Med with a fast+ action.    Kinda like a mag medium maybe.  2 most versatile rods I own.  There ain't alot I have thrown on them.  I may but upgrades, but I'll have those 2 rods until they break.  Good luck with the adrena M+  heard nothing but good things with that rod.  Should be good for alot 

That rod looks amazing. Love the looks of those handles as part of the blank. It's a bit steep for my pockets  but I might be able to make an exception

I have that model, it’s an exceptional rod, an absolute joy to fish.  Extremely sensitive and feels both light and balanced in hand. 
 

It’s hard to talk about it’s power/taper without comparing it to other rods, but it’s close to the Loomis 3 power Mag Bass rods, so very much a “lighter Medium Heavy”.  Practically, the tip will easily load and cast a weightless Trickworm at 1/4oz, but only slightly load when pitching it. I tried a 1oz glide bait on it, but was using a very soft lob cast. It fished it well and I even managed a pair of small bass with it. The heaviest thing I really throw on it is a 1/4oz jig w/ trailer, so like a 1/2 to 3/4oz total weight.  It’s a lot better feeling with the 1/2 ones and I think it’s sweet spot is in the 3/8-1/2oz range.  I mostly use it as a lighter jig/worm rod, but I have thrown a little bit of everything on it and it’s been at least “pretty good” with everything.  

I had one. A VERY versatile rod. I liked it for moving baits up to about 1/2 oz and topwaters. It also did great with 3/16 oz Texas rigs. It will do a lot of things well. A joy to fish.

I agree with the others that the specs make it look like it's leaning more towards a MH than a medium. Sounds like it would be a good rod for a variety of uses.

That length and power would be great for roll casts, dock fishing, and other close quarter applications. 3/8 oz spinnerbaits, 1/8 - 1/4 oz Texas rig, lighter wire jigs, spooks and poppers. Very versatile. If you were fishing more open water, vegetation, or thicker cover I may opt for the 7’2. Personally I love the 6’9 - 6’11 length for most shallow water presentations. 

Forget the labels they’re all subjective. 1/4-1 oz is a broad range which could be  versatile IF its accurate.
