Bang vs megastrike

Featured Replies

Which one is better? Does a spray attractant work better than traditional gels?

1 vote for megastrike.

Also not a big fan of aerosol cans.

Gels last longer.

I don't know the answer, but I'm on my way to finding out. I bought some Bang, Megastrike, and some Fish Sticks and will see which type I like best.

I vote for gel scents. Used atlas mikes before I switched to liquid Mayhem and the gels far out produced liquid based scents I tried. I never did try Bang scents though. The first scent I probably tried was crappie nibbles twenty years ago. Liquid mayhem has a lot of different scents to choose from, not sure how much variety megastrike has. I know a lot of folks on here like it.

I almost bought some fish sticks the other day, have you opened it up and smelled it yet?

Edge Hot Sauce or JJ's.  I even use the Hot Sauce on my crankbaits.

Hot Sauce crawdad is a gel, excellent scent for soft plastics.

Tried Mega Strike, both work. Mega Strike soft in colder temps.  No a fan of spray scents, to messy unless you spray into a the worm bag.

Yeah, that’s the only one I’ve  used so far. I bought the combo pack and used the crawdad on a jig trailer. It caught the only bass I caught on a tough day. Not saying that was the only reason, but so far so good. They are pretty strong smelling. But I can’t compare to the others yet.

I've tried a bunch of attractants. The spray types seem to come off much sooner than the gel types do. I still have an old can of Bang craw. For years I use Megastrike, and I bought a tube of Bio Edge..The results are still not conclusive on the bio edge.

*I use both and both give me confidence , how ever I give the edge to BANG  ... Spotted Bass in my waters immigrated from Italy & Sicily , so I find the BANG spray attractant in Garlic scent works better for me ... If you bass immigrated from the UK or Eastern Europe then perhaps the Megastrike will work better for catching bass in your waters .

I habe bang craw/shad scent. Its not messy in the least. I dangle the lure in front of me and spray. I stop seeing an oil slick about 5-7 casts. I thought about Megastrike and fish sticks and still may pick up one. Also pro cure gel has a ton of flavors? Scents? Types? You know what I mean. Either way i want what works because I can't buy a bite this year.

Just don’t spray into the wind...
