Not sure if this belongs here or not but just joined and cannot figure out how to edit my profile or edit a post. Do I need a certain number of posts in order to do those two things?

For some reason there is no option that allows me to do it

Editing a post can only be done shorty after posted. Not sure how long that is but I know it’s a set time. To edit a post, click on the three dots that appear on the right of your name in said post. You’ll see “edit” and “report” there. 
 

maybe its a question need to be answer from some site administers.

If you need to edit a post click on the three dots at the top right of your post. This will bring up a menu of what you want to do. Being a new member you only have about 15 minutes to edit a post. The longer you are a member you will get more time. As for your profile someone else will have to help you with that. I have never tried to change anything on mine. 

There is a set time period you have to edit the post - longer you're here, the more time you get...beginning users have a very short time.

I only joined a little over an hour ago so maybe that’s why

Ya - I just checked mine - post just above yours was done 13 minutes ago...I can still edit it.

 

So give it time...you'll get there.

I'd be in BIG trouble without the edit option. Hang in there, you'll ride this bronc yet.

I'd posted a similar question.  Found i couldn't edit nor update my avatar.  Finally, after my 10th post, both functions were available.

I'm also having issues with this.  I'm not able to update my avatar or my bio info.  Where did you find the settings?  It's not like I'm new to using forums, just this one.

The settings were available in my profile after my tenth post.
