I've been reading up on some crawfish baits. Im

curious about the discontinued Mad Man craw baits.                                                            I've never fished the Mad Man craws, but looking at photos, these look very close to the Yum Bug, which I have used.                 Were the Mad Man baits a hollow tube style crawfish bait?  I've heard these were excellent baits years ago. For those that have used them, what was your favourite rigging method?

They were hollow like you had said, I had a pack and only threw them on a Texas rig.

Academic question if you don’t have any Mad Man craws.

1st the craws were big about 5” long and the body cavity was hollow allowing rigging to move the draw forward or backwards with worm hooks. Sold s few packages in 2020.

Great smallmouth bait;  I stockpiled two sizes in the hollow tube, also some of their craw worms.  Use them on a regular tube jighead, even a dropshot.  The craw worms make good trailers.  I'm beginning to run low on the smaller size tube in certain colors.

There were two designs one that looks simalar to the Yum Craw Bug & one that looks simalar to the Lake Fork Craw. The one that looked like the Lake Fork Craw in Camo was killer on a Coon Tail Jig.

They had 3 sizes if I remember correctly, a small around 2 3/4", standard 3 3/4 or 4", and large that was a hulking 5-5.5" craw. I had some of all of them. Only ever remember catching a few fish on them. Caught a huge channel cat on one of the big craws, pretty sure that was the only fish I ever caught on one of the big ones.
