Lews lfs issue

Featured Replies

Ok, so i took apart my lsf speed spool for a cleaning (sounded like crap) one of the pieces i took off though i dont remember how it came off. (Yes i know take your time and take pictures). The pictures show the pbushing and washers i cant figure out. The lews schematics arent very clear, mainly because i couldnt find find one for my specific reel. Any help would be appreciated.

And this as well....  Drag crush washers should look like this  ()  when reassembled.  If the spacer washer that goes under the handle is bent and the crush washers are flat, the drag has been set too tight (edit..... or the handle nut is over tightened) then all three washers should be replaced.

The sleeve stuck in the AR gets slid onto the shaft. Replace side plate, click plate large side up, spring washers as shown prior, flat washer, drag star, handle washer, handle, nut, retainer.

None taken. But the only way to learn is to do.

Lots of people like to do their own work.  Personally I've never been one to tinker so I prefer using professionals even tho it would save me a bundle if I did my own work.  :(

Maybe when/if I retire I can get into at least doing the cleaning part myself.
