Anyone tried this line? I'm curious as to its use for cranks as it is advertised having 50% less stretch than other monos.  The other property they advertise is less water absorption vs. other monos.  It's a little pricey for mono, but if it lives up to the hype, it may be worth it.

Haven't thrown cranks with it, but I have tossed light weight swimbaits i.e. 2.3 oz and less.

I really like the line, very manageable, and yes it does seem to have less stretch to it.

I also use Sufix Elite mono, which I also like. If I had to only have one of these, it would be the Advance. BTW, I use the 15 lb and 17 lb.

Great line. Extremely low stretch. Very sensitive. Casts well on a baitcaster.

I've got 10# on my President XT/Fury 703C - it's my prime jerkbait rig.

 

Casts well, some memory - but KVD fixes that, get good distance and haven't had a blow-up yet

If you've fished Yo-Zuri Hybrid, its fairly similar. Some stretch but a bit less. Overall good line... however, I did get one spool that seemed to degrade quickly in the elements (sun, heat, water) which I've not had YZH do. Might have just been a bad batch I would try it again ~

I've noticed the same - my 10# Advance is very similar to my 12# YZH.

 

Shouldn't be surprised - while advertised as a Mono, the detail description of Advance actually tells me it's a co-polymer like YZH.

It lives up to the hype. I have used it for several years replacing Sunline Defier Armilo. It does run bigger in diameter than some other lines so you need to chose your line weight by diameter rather than by weight rating. I use 14 to replace 17lb & use 17 to replace 20lb.  

I used 6# Sufix Advanced Mono the other day on my Croix 6' 8" ESMXF and it performed very well. Handled about 50 times better than the Tatsu #8 I had on the other rod. 

   I used it in 6# and 12#. Handles great, casts great ...... but I used it in riprap and it has unacceptably low abrasion resistance for me.         jj

That's funny because I thought it was fine in ripwrap.

I had no problems with the Suffic Advance 6 in riprap the other day. Casting jigs to riprap is all we fished all day. 

I've been using Sufix Advance Mono this year, the jury is still out. I lost a bait because the line randomly broke on a rather weak cast which was the third cast on a brand new spool, can't say that ever would have happened with Sufix Siege which is what I was using for topwaters previously, so that was not good.. I respooled and haven't had any issues since.

 

It does seem to have low stretch, but ever since that happened the breaking strength seems very questionable.

*Mono does typically degrade faster out doors versus straight FC or hybrid FC lines due to UV . Some newer mono lines claim to have a coating or composition that deters UV rays from damaging mono lines , but it is still there to an extent . For my reels with mono -  I keep them out of the sun (reel cover or stashed away)  and extreme heat which helps . Having lived in Florida a long time I know all too well about having mono turn brittle which then begins to develop a powder substance on the line signaling it's time for that line to be removed and  recycled !

I used them on my topwater reel. They're quite nice compared to other mono, less memory easier management, but the diameter is thicker than the same poundage mono from other brands. So shop with the diameter not the pound test I guess, the #10 line is just as strong as #12 line of other brands.
