U-40 Cork Seal Question?

Featured Replies

  • Super User

Guys, Today I am waiting for last rod I purchase in my life (I hope), I went to get the u-40 and get ready for delivery so I can apply it on my rod as soon as possible and can use the rod sooner. But I saw the color is somehow more milky, Please see the pictures and tell me if it is ok to use or I need to buy new u-40?

I remind you again, I swear it will be my last rod and I dont have plan to buy any rod in future. I am happy with nearly 50 combos I have and I dont want to add any anymore.

I promised that to myself ?

I don't make promises — even to myself‚ that I can't keep. I gave away three rods (Kistlers) last month, so I'm back down to 97.

The promise I make is not buying with no reason, For example if got forbid one of my rod breaks, for sure I am going to replace it.

The cork sealer looks fine. Use it.

You look a bit young in your avatar.  Your going to see a TON of new rod technology in your lifetime and there will be no way you will/should limit yourself to only pre-'21 era rods for the rest of your life.
