My fiancé’s  grandfather has 16 foot bass tracker , flat bottom. I believe it’s 1984. Thinking about buying it off him because as a project. Any thoughts as to what it’s worth ?
It was stripped of the seats and a wood floor was added also a small deck. Buts it’s been sitting out side for years and neeeds to be redone.

trying to add  pictures but there to large of file.

Best way is to go to all of the sales websites, Facebook marketplace, Craig’s list, eBay etc., for your area and see if you can find any comparable boats.  That will give you a starting point.

Boat with no trailer and no motor? Under a grand.

Sounds like one of those boats I will usually only pay a few hundred dollars for.  Let's face it, to most it only has scrap metal value.  to pay to have it brought back to a usable condition, the cost would be way more than it's value when done.  From your description $300-$500 would be my max.

I'm with Keith - the Alumacraft I got was water ready, came with a functional trailer and a working 30# Minnkota C-2...paid less than $700 for it. I'm ripping it apart and rebuilding it because I want to...not because it needs it to fish from.

That Tracker that needs work...no trailer...I think Keith's lower figure is about right.

Also...sitting out that long...I'd make sure it was water tight before starting anything.

You might be able to find a lake ready boat on marketplace or CL for that price. I've seen a bunch of V-bottoms and John boats with trailer working trolling motor and outboard for that price around me. Not the fanciest but the fish don't care how nice your boat looks.

Maybe a few hundred $$. I think you’ll have more money wrapped up in it than it will be worth when it’s done. Only reason I could see if there’s sentimental reasons for the rebuild.

I forgot to mention it comes with the trailer.  Has a 9.9 tiller and a foot pedal trolling motor think it’s a min Kota and a trailer. Going to pick it for 1500.

Yeah it’s my fiancé’s grandfathers old fishing boat and I’d like to fix it up so he can see it looking good again . He’s getting up there in age so he’s been stressed about seeing all his toys sit and go to waste. Thought I could help by fixing it up

I hear that brutha I have a 14 foot lund deep v with a 25 tiller. And a small fishing deck does everything I need. But I’m tempted  to by a real bass boat just waiting to find the right used  one .

Thanks for the replies guys I’ll figure out how to post a pic of the boat maybe some before and after pic.

May be an image of 1 person and text that says '6:20 " LTE Roses are red, used boat market is hot. Don't low ball me bro, know what got Send Sendachat a chat'

You are paying at least $500 too much for it.

Trailer adds about $150, and it will need tires lights and bearings serviced,  That old of a TM, maybe $50.  9.9 in unknown condition, $150 - $200 max, it's going to need water pump, fuel pump and carbs rebuilt, and lower unit serviced.  All the wiring will need to be inspected for dry rot and cracking and fuel lines will probably need replaced  If it has been outdoors, and not run for a few years, it's not uncommon for condensation to have ruined the crank and rods, basically making it junk.  All the boats wiring needs to be inspected.  Mice love to use it for chew sticks.

I sold 12/36 alumacraft Jon boat with 9.8 and trailer for $1500.00 about 3 yrs ago. It was bare bones, no trolling motor or anything.
If you get it for a winter project there is a forum called

tinboats.net I got a lot of good ideas from the people on that site.
I just got finished doing a project boat myself   a 15/48 mod-v polarcraft.
