Cost of transporting boat?

Anyone have any idea how much would it cost to transport a bass boat, from South Carolina to South California?
Any recommendations or how to?

The current cost of freight is very high.  I'd say you could fly there, rent a truck and drive it back for less.

You might check out a web site called Uship. You post what you have and where you want it to go and then it get's bid on by the shippers. I've used it a couple of times to ship bulky stuff that UPS and FedEx thumbed their noses at.

Don't know what size you are wanting to ship, but I checked on having a 20' Javelin shipped from South Texas to Ga, and it ain't cheap.  Because of the length, they wanted to charge the same they would for two vehicles, because it knocked them out of the space needed for another vehicle.  With the motor on the back and the length of the tongue, you are talking almost 30 feet.

I would tow it across the country for you and wouldn't charge a dime.  It might take a couple years, and there would probably be a few hundred more hours on the outboard and trolling motor.  Slight detour through Mexico would also be a possibility.

Yeah we’ve heard about Uship and trying to get a quote from them. They need a lot more info than I have, length weight etc. this is gonna be for tracker pro 170. I have heard somewhere around 1500-2000.

call Rick Grover owner of Anglers Marine in Anaheim.

They ship and receive boats around the country and should be able to help you.

Put new tires on it, service the wheel bearings and use the shipping cost to take vacation and spend a week or so on a nice road trip and see parts of the country you haven't seen.

Just got a quote from Uship for 2800. I’m not sure if I should get this boat after all.
The boat belong to a son of my wife’s cousin in SC. The boat is pretty much brand new 2019 with 2 HDS 7 and Ultrex trolling motor. He is looking for someone to take ownership of the boat (15,000). I used to have small Jon boat (deck out for bass) but sold it since I only used the boat a couple times that year. I still have float tube and kayak which I hardly use too. The reason my wife considered this boat because she wants to help him out and we have a nephew that just start and love bass fishing. I want to put him on some nice bass here. He already got his first frog bass and his GF got her first 4-5lber. I’m not sure though how long they gonna come and fish with me. I myself I don’t really care much, I only fish short hours before or after work.
D a m n this is hard decision, anyone around SC looking for bass boat?

Used boats are in short supply. If it were me, I’d take it to a boat dealer and have them sell it for me on consignment. Even dealers can’t get many to sell. I sold mine like that this spring. The dealer got top dollar and even after paying the commission, I pocketed more than I’d have gotten for it if I’d sold it myself and I didn’t have to do more than drive it over to the dealer.

Sometimes selling it yourself pays off too. I sold the canoe for just about what I had into it, advertising on 4 different market-sites.

Check some of the small car carriers.  A lot of those make trips cross country and I would think they would haul it for $500 to $1,000 cheaper than that.  You might have to make arrangement to meet them someplace to pick it up and drop it off, but I've shipped a couple of vehicles from Texas and Arizona for $500 and $700, but again, it would have been double for the boat.  I would also check the people WRB referred to.

Since you really don’t sound like you want it anyway why go to the trouble to procure it?  I’d have to want it real bad to go to that much trouble and expense.
