November Smallies (video) ~

Last Sunday & Monday (Nov 7 & 8 ) Northern Michigan was treated to a couple of fairly nice weather days (insert fisherman friendly).

With the Pro-V Bass already up for the hard water season, I decided to slip the Old Town Canoe out onto local Lake Minichuck to chase the Brown Bass around.   Water temps were in the mid 40’s and I found some Smallies set up on deeper brush & wood in 15 – 20 feet near points and one magic little mid-lake hump.  Spunky brown bass came on a variety of presentations including a blade bait, jerkbait and a little swimbait.

It was a most decent time with a reasonable mixture of Sun & Fun; even got to use the net and scale a couple of times.

Pretty good bet this will be the last open water fishing I do until 2022.

While that’s always a little depressing and does seem like a long way off; it’ll be here before I know it.

Stay Safe

Nice video A-Jay... I too like fishing for the brownies as late into the year as possible. Kind of steal whatever I can from the front-end on set of Winter.  Ice out date 2022 is a long ways out!

I know I'm taking away from Old Man winter here in Minn when I'm still fishing and can hear the leaf blowers on shore like I could in your video ?

My last day for smallmouth was November 1, still doing some largemouth and maybe walleyes but my  PVB will get buttoned up soon too ~
