Came in the mail today just in time for the sale that started on the 22nd. 60% of the flyer is clothes and 2 pages dedicated to fishing.

Gotta be the Chicago hub that got you - I had my BPS BF flyer last Tuesday.

I got my flyer right before Thanksgiving. Didn’t see anything in it that I wanted though.

I was at the Harrisburg, PA Bass Pro on the 14th and the new location in Morgantown, WV on Tuesday.  Spent exactly $0 at both locations.

I had to spend money there - wife gave me a BPS gift card for my birthday. Got a few RES, a couple jigs and some replacement worm and EWG hooks.

$50 card, spent $3.80 of my own money.

Got mine a week or so before Thanksgiving.

Nothing in it I was interested in...it's mostly flannel shirts and blankets

I used to love Bps, but they have pretty much gone to hell in a handbag in my honest opinion, everything is super expensive, they never have sales as listed above, and they carry their crappy lure brands over brands I ACTUALLY want. For instance they have their own large swimbaits under their "XPS" brand for 10 dollars but I would rather pay 15 for an actual r2s  s waver. Instead of keitechs for 5.99 they have their off brand keitechs for 5.00. Id rather pay the extra buck for good colors. Then their reel selection is also manipulative and when you look at the details you will find the devil. For instance they do not sell any casting reels made by diawa or shimano in the 50-95 dollar range even though there are models such as the Shimano Caius or the Diawa CC80+ the CR80 (aka non doyo/banax factory made reels. This 100$ minimum is even applied to the Diawa Fuego casting reel which clocks in at 99.00. I believe the only 100$ minimum reel allowed is technically the 99.99  SLX, but I may be wrong. In my opinion I believe Basspro does this shady sales tactic because they know somebody new to fishing is not going to spend 100$ on a reel and they bait the new fisherman into buying their Johnny Morris reels. The saddest part is many people buying these reels on their website probably dont know better options like the Diawa CC80/Cr80 or the Shimano Caius exist because Basspro refuses to sell them. I have only made a few purchases from Tacklewarehouse but It makes my life so much easier because They have 10 times more options than BPS, they have amazing shipping (and cheap 6.50 shipping for orders under 50$) and they have a website GUI that is smooth and easy to navigate. I know some guys complain about tackle warehouse, but compared to BPS its an angel of relief. anyways hate to ruffle peoples feathers but that's just been my experience.

Saw nothing on sale I wanted. They only had two BC rods on sale and I think one reel. Probably a good thing for me. San Jose, CA

I love BPS, really enjoyed working there after retiring from my career. That said, this year's black Friday ad was really weak. The big sale on fishing stuff is in the spring.

So what percent of the target customers do you think are actual bass fisherman.  My guess is less than five percent.

BPS is not close to my first stop when looking for anything unless I have a gift card. I did get a notice this AM that their HPR bibs and jackets were marked down so I ordered a set. Wanted something lighter than my old commercial Grundens gear for kayak fishing. Didn’t want to spend a fortune since I don’t really fish in downpours or super cold weather. Felt it was a decent deal if anyone is interested
