Is this a fast retrieve without pauses or twitches? Is this what some call "burning" it?

What lipless bait(s) do you use?

1/4 oz original Rat-L-Trap, and yes burning it. Can't really not burn it in 1-2 fow with weeds/grass/mucky bottom.

Blue Shiner is consistently my best color.

3/8ths Sebile Flatt Shad Snagless version works pretty good .

Can you tell me who sells these?

Ebay as they were discontinued. I think all Sebile lures were.

Acquired by Pure Fishing. Not a fan of most of their lures.

Get yourself a Yo Zuri 3DS 70SP in Holographic Glass Ghost, and grab one in Holographic Ayu and you’ll be good to go. Jus keep the lure movin! Ps will turn away from a lure if ya kill it. Don’t worry Ps ate plenty fast to catch that lure. Hope that helps, I’ve caught hundreds of em on those Yo Zuris. And also a  Heddon Baby Torpedo prob Bait being ripped across the top is a killer lure as well.

Mono won't make a sinking lipless suspend but it will help it run shallower. 17-20lb would be fine. You're going to be burning the bait with your rod tip high either way to keep it out of the grass.

Not on a spinng reel , unless it's a saltwater reel that is twice the size.

My suggestion is go to a smaller/lighter lipless and fish it on heavier mono.  With spinning gear, I wouldn't go much heavier than 12lb. and you can keep a 1/4oz. SuperSpot running 2-3ft. with a 5.2 spinning reel.

If you're set on a bigger bait, give a Zoom Mag Ultravibe Speed Craw a shot, you won't be disappointed.
