Daiwa Tatula Rod

Featured Replies

Looking at a Daiwa Tatula Rod primary for plastic fishing. The 7'1" med heavy has a xfast action which I have never used before, always used a fast action. Anyone use a xfast action for plastic. For the most part I think it would be a great rod but just wanted some assurance from those who used the xfast. Any disadavatages?? I primary fish docks and rip rap.

One of my favorite Texas Rig rods is a 7'1" Kistler Helium med-heavy/x fast. Now, not all rod manufacturer's rating are created equal. But I really like the x fast on the Kistler.

XF kind of has two sub categories. Some rods are XF with a stiff tip, while other rods are XF with a soft tip. I like XF rods with a soft tip.

i have a 7’3 MH fast tatula that is an absolute work horse of a rod. so versatile and perfect for lighter texas rigs, jigs, small swimbaits, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits

I have the Tatula TTU711MHXB 7'1" Medium Heavy X-Fast.

It's my primary jig rod but I will throw plastics on it quite often.

For plastics or Jig-n-Craws I prefer X-Fast over Fast because it gets into the backbone quicker allowing me to moving the fish away from cover faster.
