TW is still showing $90.99 for the Fury rods - but the sale ends tonight.

Dobyns Fury Spinning Rod 7' Med Lt - this is the Fury 702SF, which is what I use as my general finesse rod.

The only thing that has kept me from snagging one of these is that its rated for 1/8-1/2oz.  For whatever reason my brain wants me to get something that does 1/16....why?  your guess is as good as mine.

I have a FR663SF that I bought that I haven't really used much so I haven't gotten a feel for sensitivity, etc. Picked up a 733c the other day too.  Debating on getting another Fury but also interested in trying another company.  Ive heard the Lancer Pro's are decent and they are on sale for 69.99 at TW also.

I toss 1/16oz jig heads with plastic on mine - remember that you have to add the hook and plastic to the weight to get the real total...jig head printed weight is just for the lead/tungsten.

Of my 11 boat rigs - 6 are Furys, 2 are Diawa Aird-Xs, 2 are Okuma Reflexions A's and one is a Diawa Procyon.

If I upgrade the Aird-X rods...it'll be to more Furys or maybe Sierras (limit of my rod budget)

Those ARK blanks are awesome. That's a great deal on a Lancer. The 6'10" ML is great for Neds. I've been using the Tharp version.

I was able to grab a Sierra 702sf for $129 so I decided to give that a whirl.  Looking forward to giving that a whirl!

I grabbed a Lancer Pro casting rod because of your recommendation a few days ago!

For this technique you want as much sensitivity as possible for the price.

Daiwa Tatula cork spinners are awesome in 7'-1" ML or 7'-6" M/MF

try to find a seller that has them and apply a discount code.

Sierra is an amazing rod for the money.

I was looking at those but then I came across the smoking deal on a Sierra.  Will keep an eye out for the Tatulas to go on sale and add one of those to my arsenal

Great deal on a very nice rod for what you want to do with it. Picked up the same rod prior to Christmas and the sensitivity difference between it and the Fury 702sf is noticeable.
