Teckel Kicknocker vs. Reaction Innovations Vixen

Featured Replies

As far as quality, does anyone have experience with these compared to the discontinued Reaction Innovations Vixen?

Apparantely the Teckel kicknocker is the same exact bait as the first run Reaction Innovations Vixen. Long story short, Andre (Reaction Innovations owner) and Hidekai (who owns Teckel) had a falling out a few years ago for whatever reason. That’s why RI hasn’t had anymore vixens. Hidekai basically owns the molds and has produced them through Teckel.

HA i got all of that company info from him on discord! i've been looking for vixens and i had no idea teckel had the same mold

I have an original vixen that I use, but I don't find it any better than a R2S Rover.  Never tried the Teckel version.

I don't have any personally, but have seen them in use and neither did anything real impressive to me. They looked very similar to the 6th Sense Catwalk that I fish a lot and is a super productive bait for me.

If I need an overhyped topwater, I break out my Paycheck Repo man ?

I have several between the Vixen and the Repo man. I've never tried the Teckel but the difference is probably around 75 bucks in todays market.

The Vixen and the Repo man are great baits .

If I was looking for a copy I'd get a Rover.I throw it a lot in that goofy R2S bone color and it works .

I have original Vixens and some of the Kicknockers - I can't tell the difference.  Only reason I'd pick between the two would be specific colors I want to use....Some I have in the Vixen and others in the Teckel.

The R2S is a good choice too, but it is noticeably different from the Vixen/Teckel....Not that it's inferior, it's just different.

Never tried the Teckel as I have decent supply of original Vixens and fortunately don't lose too may top waters . That said the Vixen is my all time favorite walk the dog bait and I 've tried a bunch of 'em.

I sold most of my Vixens because I never caught anything on them and I tried. Now I saved 2 BLV just in case but they get one more chance then they are being sold if they don't produce.
