Yes. Ruger 300 BLK. Amazing accurate with supers and subs for an off the shelf gun. The deer and pigs I've shown it to weren't fans of it though.

That thing is a pistol? Looks a lot more like a rifle to me.

It’s certainly a nice firearm and I bet it’s effective on piggies but it just doesn’t resemble a pistol to me lol.

What’s that accessory on the barrel? Suppressor?

That "stock" is a brace not a stock. That is why it's considered a pistol.

A buddy of mine builds them The top one is 9mm and thee others are 556

Ahh I see. But doesn’t the letters AR stand for Assault Rifle or Armalite Rifle? So if it already has the term rifle in the name, it’s not a pistol. It can’t be both a rifle and a pistol. Maybe the correct term is AP15 for Assault or Armalite Pistol.

Semantics. A rifle, by definition, has a barrel longer than 16" and a stock that gets shouldered. The AR pistol has a barrel less than 16" and a brace that assists in firing the weapon with 1 hand. Were you to put a standard stock on a firearm with a barrel shorter than 16" it is called a short barreled rifle and needs special permitting.

We all know that you do not need to shoulder a rifle to fire it and you can very well shoulder a pistol with a brace to fire it. Semantics

No different than what we hear from the powers that be about AR's. I can buy a Mini 14 and have the same stopping power as an AR of the same caliber and have an extended magazine. The AR looks like a military rifle, even though it isn't, and gets people up in arms about banning them.

I understand that. I’m not against them or a pistol or what @GreenPig has at all. I just don’t think it should be referred to as a rifle and a pistol in the same terminology. It’s either one or the other, not both. We don’t call a shotgun a rifle or vice versa. It’s one or the other.

Semantics. A revolver is not a pistol and a pistol is not a revolver yet they are both handguns.

I get where you're coming from. Call it an AP15 and not an AR15

Those are great builds. Does he have a site?

Just a hobby of his. He's not licensed to sell them. Just builds and shoots them. No kids and both he and his wife make good money. He has dozens of builds. He's a Marine. Did 3 tours in Iraq after 9/11 on the front lines. I'll just say, if war breaks out, you want him on your side. He was an apprentice of mine for 4 years after he got out in 2008. Lots of demons from when he served but a great guy nonetheless.

My pistol is one of the cheap PSA 10.5" 5.56 kits. I don't hunt or do anything serious with this gun but it's a fun one to shoot.20220320_202113_resized.thumb.jpg.758de30e43da00abfeeb7b6ed95340d4.jpg

I think PSA makes a nice gun. Been looking at those too. I have an AR from them and no complaints at all.

I have no issues at all with this one and have a few friends with them as well. For the price they are hard to beat.

100 pages of regulations trying to untie this knot.
