Dobyns VS ARK

Featured Replies

Hey gang. Having a hard time picking my next rod. I am wanting to add another MH/F rod to my arsenal, I currently have a FURY MH/F and St Croix MOJO MH/F. I am not impressed with the MOJO and will not be getting another one (very tip heavy). I love the Dobyns and have been thinking about upgrading to the Champion or Sierra line. I have also been eying the ARK line of rods. Does ARK stand toe to toe with Dobyns?

I've been wondering about Ark rods as well, I see reviews going both ways..

I was thinking of picking up a Lancer pro  to fool around with.

Pleased with my Ark Cobb series rods...

I have a Tharp series, Cobb series and lancer pro casting models and a lancer pro spinning. I've been very pleased with all of them thus far. I also own a few dobyns rods and find the arks are as good for the money...maybe like them a tad better honestly.

What separates Dobyns is customer service, just a phone call or email away.

I have 2 Lancer Pro’s and 1 Dobyns and use all 3 every outing.
They are all excellent for what I use them for and have no regrets.

The ARK’s are more than worth their price.

Also, I’ve never had a problem with either company’s customer service.

13 ARK's here. 10 Tharp, 1 Cobb, 1 Lancer, 1 Invoker. Tharp series is my favorite. I like their reel seat best and they have Fuji K series guides. I have 6 Dobyns, 3 Sierra, 2 Kadens, and a Fury. The fury 735 is the only Dobyns still seeing regular use. I like it for moving baits. I've also fished with a friends Champs. I like my ARK's better.

Same story with ARK. Both companies are solid in that dept.
