wondering if anyone has any experience with the megabass mega dog too water bait.  it’s very large at 8.7in.

 

what would be a good rod/reel for this and other very large baits?

 

Could the Tequilla baccarat handle it or does it require a larger swim air rod?

I've never thrown the Megadog, but do own the MB TB.  At 4.6oz I don't think the TB would be a fun rod to fish it.  You could probably lob it out there, but I feel like the TB is comfortable up to 3.5oz and gets squirrelly heavier than that.

I throw my Megadog on a Tranx 400A and Daiwa DXSB heavy rod. I'm able to really launch it with this combo so the line capacity of the 400 is a plus. It's not as big as it used to be to me.
