Pond! Lo!

Been cruising around looking for places to fish and gathering information while occasionally tossing a line. Well I found a couple ponds that might only be open on weekends but covered with lily pads, good population of healthy looking bluegill, picked up a few healthy looking bass out of em yesterday. On spinnerbaits. Half of one of these ponds is inaccessible unless you have a kayak. Can’t launch a boat anywhere. Oh boy. It’s about to get real folks ?

I fish ponds like that. One side is landscaped like a park and the other side is heavily wooded. You can find two or three spots you can flip out from, but not cast. Basically no one fishes that side, which is why I bought an inflatable. I can fish 100% of the ponds and it makes a huge difference.

I fished em today, was from the bank, and I totally debunked my earlier statement that there are areas of the ponds inaccessible by foot. I waded all the way round. It was not comfortable, but doable.

I picked up three small ones, one is photo’d in the Catch Pics Thread because he’s covered in salad and thought it was funny enough to share.

The ponds are still a little puzzling. Everything tells me that there should be nice size bass in there, but did not find them today…. Next time maybe. I punched, frogged, spinnerbaited, and swam jigs.

Could be the heat. My local ponds are fishing real tough right now because of the heat.

Well Lord knows I’m tired of the heat. Happy it is cooling down now. I had to stop fishing yesterday because of it. Never had to do that before. I had 3 quarts of water and ran out of it and started to feel light headed. Stopped then and there. Saturday I went for a run in 102 degrees after fishing most of the morning so that probably had something to do with it, lol.
