Yeah the hook feels like OG ned rig hooks. I need to stop forgetting I have them and actually use them, been dragging around for a while and it's a good time for smallish baits anyway.

Like others have said, a tube bait is the king of the spiraling fall.

 Regular old lead head seems to work the best.

Tube is excellent for spiraling but if you want the ultimate spiraling bait rig up a Deps Bull Flat. Either weightless or with a small bullet weight.  You could also use a belly weight hook I would imagine. I wreck em on the bull flat casting to weed pockets and letting it slowly spiral down. It's scary how good it is.

The 3.8" looks like a good option for where I'm fishing - thanks man, I'll check 'em out! 

Never would have noticed but I was fishing a clearish rock pit today and this spiraled on its way down
