there are LOTS of lakes.  i was looking at Lake Shasta.  which is less than 40 feet from being full (pool).   last time i fished Shasta it was a half mile drive from the parkiing lot down to the water's edge.  and we got lots of fish!!!

but i panned out on google earth and just looked.  there are so many lakes!!  Britton, Whiskey Town...Trinity!!  Britton looks very low on the radar being so close to the other more infamous lakes like Shasta.   it is overwhelming.  i have panned around Oroville and other lakes.  i want to try them all but that is impossible.  i am not that rich in time and money.

there is much to be said about mastering a certain lake, but the mystery of a new lake is fun as well.

do you prefer to explore new lakes or focus on a certain body of water and mastering it?

Master my favorite lakes and rivers, explore new spots for fun.

We are blessed to have so many spots to fish out here in the west, no money and time to fish them all.

It’s hard for me to not fish Shasta, even with the other lakes nearby. 40-80 fish days keep me coming back

wow!!  I have been there once.  I think I got 30 fish.  80?  I would pass out of joy.
