Jerk bait suspending strips

Featured Replies

Who makes the the little  strips that are attached to jerk baits that adjust the sink rate or that helps a jerk bait suspend.  I’ve tried looking but, I’m either not using the correct name or the correct key words when searching.

I have some for golf clubs left over from my club building days.  I trim it to what I want and it works great.

Thanks for the responses.  I just ordered the dots should be here Tuesday.  Now I just need the wind to cooperate and lay down a bit.

Well, if you can hold your breath for a week straight you should be good to go! Since that’s not physically possible, I recommend just waiting out Mother Nature, because she’s going to be nasty this week. ?

I’ve seen that in the extended forcast.  Supposed to be warm but, very windy this week.  Looks like next Tuesday will be good to go and that’s my normal day off.

15 mph max wind is about what I can comfortably fish in my sea nymph.  Next question is do I try crystal or go to duck or another shallow lake.

If there’s wind above a lite breeze this time of the year I’d go to Duck. I haven’t fished Duck in about 25 years. ?

I just use JB Weld and split shot weights.  Not the easiest or most convenient to apply, but it's stuff I already have on hand.  I use wire clippers to get the weight down to the right size and epoxy them to the belly.  Try to go for an ever-so-slight rise, as the JB Weld will add a bit of weight as well.
