Steez Spool ?

Featured Replies

I have a steez SV limited in 8 gear ratio but it has a shallow spool.  I also have the same reel in 7 gear.  I swapped the spools and it looks like they interchangeable.  Is there any issue with doing so?

No issues at all.

A lot of people use shallow spools for pitching, flipping, and punching. For those applications you don't need to have a reel that holds a bunch of line, as you are fishing close to your position. I have also had some people say that they use a shallow spool when casting lighter weight lures, as the spool "starts up" easier than a large spool that holds a lot of line. (Less inertia as there is less mass). I personally do not own any shallow spool casting reels, just because I am too cheap to buy extra spools for my reels, and too cheap to buy a reel with a shallow spool that can only be used for a few presentations.

I started getting shallow spools so I don't need backing. Main line only FTW

In response to Jeffrey, forgot the quote

Right, you can use it with normal weights but it does benefit lighter weights.

How about the Steez CT or the steez A or A ii

i imagine these spools are not interchangeable?

Anyjne know if they can be interchanged!

if they fit, any issue in using them?

Going to say no on this one. The CT spool is 30mm and A is larger. I am not sure of it's exact size. My question is why would you want to do this?
