Rap-a-la is the correct way but as a southerner I'm not bound by any notions of proper pronunciation.   It's Ra-pala for me and I ain't changing.

Reminds of Leupold hunting scopes.

Everyone around here always calls them le-a-pold when the proper pronunciation is Leu-pold.

No, seriously, it's RAP-uh-lah.  Finnish name, which, if you know any Finns, makes pronounciational* sense.
