Purchased a "Whipsnake" earlier this year along with a Luvious FC LT2000S running 6# shooter invisible.  Works very well for Drop Shot and NED rigs and I really like the look and feel at this price point.

 

Moving forward I would like add 1 or 2 more of these rods (spinning) and wondering which way is recommended.

 

Ronin - they state is for jerkbaits but I already have 3 moderate action casting rods that perform that duty (and more). Is it worth it in the end?

Shakeyhead - looks like the obvious addition as its longer/heavier and more suited for for an all-around spinning setup for bass/walleye.

Enforcer - like the Shakeyhead, just a bit stiffer but I'm concerned this will overlap some of my casting JWRs that I have but possibly land right between the casting JWR and Shakeyhead. 

 

At the end of the day I like to have 3 spinning setups on deck. Anything heavier (IE weighted tubes/jigs) will go on a casting JWR (IE. DX-743)

 

Thoughts?

I think the shakeyhead model would be a great all purpose one. Ronin is a nice stick and I have fished it. A little short for my liking but a great jerkbait rod. The Enforcer I have not fished or seen but looks good on paper. 

Enforcer is awfully similar power wise to the 3 power Dobyns.  I love my Enforcer for ikas, senkos, keitech jigs, free rigs.  It's handle is pretty long (heads up)

Didnt get to fondle a whipsnake until last year and was very impressed.  They were next to the new SC LTBs and IMO the Orochi looked and felt superior in every way, really liked how stout it was.  With a Luvias FC that must be one of the best combos for the $.  

If it were me I would go with the SH.  It would be a good soft plastic or deeper water finesse.  

If I were to need something heavier then SH I go to casting gear.

i have a shakey head and really like it for everything except super finesse techniques. senkos yes, flukes yes, light texas rigs and shakeyheads yes, texas rigged drop shot yes. you get the idea.

I'm also considering buy and Orochi spinning rod as I really like my casting setups. I was wondering how old is this series of rods, do you guys know whey were they released and if there is any indication that they may be replaced anytime soon?

What are these spinning rods you speak of?

In the JDM market, it looks like Megabass has come out with a new Orochi line of rods called the X10. I have not heard of anyone owning one of these yet but they look like a  good series of rods. They do cost about the same as the P5 rods in Japan. I don't know if they will make it to the US anytime soon.

Thanks for the info, I feel they should be up for renovation soon, while they are excellent rods, they are heavy (in comparison to other similarly priced ones) and with a good reel they feel tip heavy. Again I'm talking baitcasters as I don't own any megabass spinning rods.
