40* Water Temperature

Featured Replies

I'll be fishing Seneca Lake in NY this weekend and just want to get on some fish. I haven't wet a line in a few months due to some personal issues I've been working through, so I'm excited just to get out. That being said, what would you recommend going after with a 40* water temperature?

Afternoon north bank with cover on a sunny day- maybe find some bass. Otherwise find some isolated cover and fish it for perch and crappie. They are eating this time of year and if you like to keep fish you can grab a handful for the table.

Spoon and blade bait for bass, but sometimes trout can be better in that cold of water. Got any trout in there? Also a pinch of nightcrawler for some yellow perch and bluegill

Blade bait, jerkbait, and small Keitechs.
