Since the new owner of Yamamoto, GSM Outdoors just acquired Phenix Rods, I have some learning to do.  I honestly have not used that product and would like to hear from anyone who has.  Quality, price, market reputation, etc., I’m all ears.  Educate me.

The baitcasting feather series is one of the best bang for the buck series I've ever fished.  Sub $200 rods that have the sensitivity of $300 rods, inmo.  I have my eyes on another to up my total to 3.

ps - they have a reputation of slightly over rating their power compared to others, but it is consistent and is easily mitigated by having that knowledge.

Softer.  My 7'7MH seems like it would be better categorized as a M/M+

Yes...everyone says they fish at minimum a 1/2 power lighter than advertised.
