Going to St Augustine soon

Featured Replies

Are there any good spots to fish at in St Augustine?

Absolutely, but I don’t know specifics. My childhood fishing buddy lives there and slays fish in a kayak. I will admit he’s pretty fishy tho, he catches just about anything anywhere

@N Florida Mike has probably stomped thru there a few times

Ive fished st Augustine a lot more for salt than fresh water my whole life.. The St. Augustine bayfront is a great area. Ive got some good spots there but youll need a boat.  Sheephead are in right now…Same thing in the North River there ( Intracoastal waterway).  Surf fished  in the area my whole life also. There’s also guana river dam where you can wade fish for redfish, flounder, seatrout, etc.

I haven’t bass fished as much in st Augustine, but I have a big pond about 15 miles North of st Augustine that’s a good numbers pond if you’re interested in going there. Let me know what you are thinking and I can be more specific…

Not too far to St. John's River or Rodman Res.
