A Nice Finesse Wide Gap Hook

Featured Replies

I have been wanting to get these in my hands for awhile and it's been difficult. Finally got some and have been messing around with them.

This is a really nice hook! Owner TwistLock Light. I got both 1/0 and 2/0 sizes. It's ideal for thec smaller, somewhat fragile JDM baits I love throwing.

So here's a bunch of pictures of some rigged baits, including some Elaztech just to see how those would rig. It's a bit fussy with those and that was without making any sort of pilot hole beforehand.

Quite impressed with these little guys! I think my favourite EWG at the moment.

Been using these for a few years. Great hooks that make your baits last much longer 👍🏻

Is that a 2.5" yamatanuki on a 1/0?  Thinking of grabbing some for shore fishing smallies.

Thanks,

Yes it is.

It's a great little bait.

Smallies absolutely crush the DoLive Beaver too.

Where can I find this bait? I need some for a color reference.

I use these hooks more than any others. Unweighted and weighted, from 1/0 to 6/0. If they get discontinued, I'll puke violently. Then, like a demon, I'll sift through the interwebs buying up every last one I can find.

You can get these most anywhere online.

It's called the Dolive Beaver. This is the 3.5 I believe.

I also use the 1/0 to fish any of the small poopy baits.  Like them a lot. I also remove the barbs on mine.

This appears to be the camo color. TW doesn't carry it and hook up tackle is sold out.

Oh, I think I misunderstood what he was asking.

Yes, that's the Camo color.

This is a Canadian shop with a nice selection of JDM baits. Bear in mind, prices are in Canadian so your dollar will go father. They have stock.

Great hooks. Same with the heavier version in all sizes
