I know this reel is advertised and built for saltwater use, but I'm sure for freshwater it would be just as nice. For anyone who has one, is the reel bulky? Is it fairly palmable? How would it compare size wise to the curado 150 mgl or chronarch mgl for example? Thanks 

Tranx 150 and curado mgl 150 are identical size wise, they share the same body.

I have the Tranx 150. I don't know that they are the exact same frame as as the Curado MGL 150, but if there is a difference,.... it isn't much of a difference. The Tranx feels much more comfortable than the Curado K or M.
