First Time Using Onetens..... WOW!

Featured Replies

Wow is right. Today was the first time using Onetens and smoked them. Over 20 fish, the majority being pickerel (several were very respectable) but did score on a 2 1/2, 3, & 4# bass. The only downside was that they are truely a PITA to unhook. The 4#er required me to actually cut the hook to release it. He must have really blasted it because the lip was broken off. I know the lips are fragile and I didn't snag, or bang it off rocks, so I guess the bass did it. It's a small price to pay for an awesome day on the water.

Great day!

There is a reason they ask $25 for them....you have 110s, and then everything else for colder water jerking.

MB will 100% warranty that bait

This is likely the primary reason for damage to the lure.  Northern Pike are closely related to pickerel, except generally bigger.  They are an endless assault on lures of many types here.  If I caught about 20 of them in one outing on a single lure, that lure would be severely damaged in some way too.

As stated above, its worth contacting megabass about it.  They might replace it.

I noticed the issue early on and took the lure out of service. This Oneten caught 3 or 4 fish.

IMO there's 3 baits that set the gold standard that other companies will always try to replicate but will never be able to duplicate. The Senko, the Jackhammer and the OneTen.

Thats strange.  Ive never had one brak a lip from just fish.  I unintentionally catch lots of pickerel with them, but I dont like too.  Every one ive lost is from a bite off, particularly the Jrs, but Ive had a few that have had 100 or close caught on them with just serious paint damage.
