Rapala plastics

Featured Replies

Can anyone give their opinion on the rapala plastics so far? Their version of the spunk trailer has me interested, among the others.

Love the freeloader but not for forward facing sonar I actually use it for a spinnerbait trailer. Not a fan of the ned rig just because I hate melty plastics. Haven't tried the others yet and some people seem to be complaining that the bronco bug ripped off a JDM bait but that probably wouldn't stop me from buying it and if you are going to make that argument I feel like you should be mad at every company with a senko knock off which seems like it would be a lot of bait companies to be mad at. The craw looks ok but honestly I've already got too many that I'm fine with so probably not picking any of those up any time soon.

I like the Swimbait and the bronco bug!  The freeloader is on my list 👍🏼😎

I’ve got some freeloaders on order to try for FFS. I’ve been using the yum sonar minnow and the tiny fluke.  The freeloader seems more of the same as the yum but we’ll see.

freeloader with core tackle hover rig for FFS is great. been catching them all spring on them. was hooked on them from the first cast, brought in a 3.5 lb.

i like the mayor a lot.  it has a very tight wobbling tail.  it will probably be replacing all of the other paddle tails in my lure box eventually as attrition wipes out my kietechs.

I have some of the meds but havnt used them yet

This is what caught me a lot of my fish at the Bassmaster Kayak Classic.

We've had early success with the Freeloader. Nothing to do with FFS at this point so we expect it to shine when they group back up out in deeper water.

Disappointed with the ned BLT. Great colors but we like the Outkast Ned Heads and they just shred them. We might snip a few of the keepers and super glue em.
