Small, thin zip ties. 1/0 Gammy Octopus Circle Hook. The small, thin zip ties can be perfectly tightened down to neither move nor ruin the bait. That particular hook never, ever misses, despite being sideways. I've found nothing better for bait preservation and hookups.

Anyone having success with shrink tubbing? I tried it once, caught a fish, the shrink tubbing split and gone, the Senko was still sitting in the basses mouth. I got the worm back and was fine but the shrink tube experiment was a fail. I felt the tubbing was too brittle. Are there different shrink tubbing materials? Anyone know of a brand that is a little more pliable?

Silicon clear 1/4 ID tubing. Cut about 1/16-3/32 wide and install with o-ring  tool for 5” Senko.

Slightly off topic but a 5” Yum Dinger used with a VMC Weedless Wacky Jig Head (1/16 oz. ) hooked right through the middle  creates a great action , tough , long lasting combo . The Yum Dinger REALLY comes alive on a weighted wacky jig head as without it the Yum Dinger 5” action is bland . I mention the Yum Dinger due to the attractive price and color selection . The Big Bite Baits Trick Stick also are tough , long lasting , cost effective and have a good color selection . *If you want a soft stick worm to have action on its own without a weighted wacky jig head - then the Yamamoto  Senko , BPS Stik-O and Strike King Ocho are your best bets . I am getting the best value and results with the Yum Dinger + VMC Weighted Wacky  Jig  Head in 1/16th or 1/8th oz. 

@ChrisD46 I'll give it a try on weed lines, as I have both dingers and jig heads of that style.

 

Around docks, any exposed lead is a no no for this guy.  Makes too much noise and broadcasts my presence.
