I haven’t read the whole thread but there is something ch a thing as tie-able wire for pike leaders. 

Unless the bait rolls I wouldn’t put any kind of swivel on it. So baits like jerkbaits, cranks, walk the dog no swivel. Spinners, prop style top waters I’d use a swivel. Most end up tying solids wire instead of crimping it. You can crimp it. I highly recommend a stay lock style snap. That way if a fish does pop it open there is a second retaining ring to catch it.

I exclusively throw glides/big swimbaits and A-Rigs on this

30-40lb flouro leader material has worked well for me.  I think a lot of folks will just grab flouro line and expect it to behave the same as leader material, but it doesn't.  Seaguar blue label is my go-to.

yes, it's titanium

(snell knot to stinger hook)

and unlike stainless wire, titanium wire is ductile and stretches up to 60% before it breaks

In Europe, titanium is the choice wire for pike leaders.  

There are also good US suppliers.
