Sugartit custom blanks

Featured Replies

Has anyone used the sugartit custom blanks. In particular the frenzy shad ko. I was looking at them because i wanted to do my own paintjobs on a few. Berkley’s unpainted ones are the same price as painted so i an looking for cheaper options. Im also eyeing some of there other baits. I know its a tacklemaking question to an extent but i figured alot of guys might have experience with prefinished versions

I haven't used that one but have bought from them a few times. Those transactions were great.

Haven't used them, but like the catchy name.

Quality was good. I bought some from a different place and all the bills snapped off

Haha reminds me of Rapala DT series, I quit using those years ago because the bills broke all of the time. Wonder if they improved them?

I believe that is the actual name of the city as well. My wife met a friend of a friend from there and he sent us a sticker from a local store...pretty funny.

Have you looked at Lurebuild, com? I know the owner and go to the shop about once a week. If you want me to check on a specific blank let me know. His Vision 110+1Jr blank is really good.

I want the 110 jr’s. Ive caught some smallies on the 110 and 110+1 but i prefer the 90 size.

are they easy to suspend

Based on helping him with the bait I would say they are slow floaters. He went through two versions before the one he sells because they were weighted too light. They will not match the suspending performance of an original MB but for $2 they are really good. I worked with him to compensate for weight of the bait with a 2 part epoxy and #6 hooks with ballasting.

Knowing thT going in, i can sneak in a suspendot, heavier split rings and/or use straight fluro if i feel i need more. I’m good with a slow float as long as it is slowww.

@MunkinDoes he have anything that has a more aggressive action similar to an x-rap?

I talked to him. He does have a 110 version of the x-rap but doesnt know of anyone carrying a 90 or 70. That’d be amazing if someone did.  I love 70 size jerks. He does have a 70 size mb110 jr that im definitely going to give a shot.
