A couple more jigs

Featured Replies

Some more ties from this weekend, this is becoming a full blown addiction 🤣 All either 1/16th or 1/8th ounce. Unfortunately don’t have much of a use for bigger baits these days!

Very nice looking jigs.

Great looking jigs! It sure can be addicting.

Look great.

How much time does it take you to make one?

I've never thought about making my own lures but could be a great hobby.

The last photo of the black/purple would be a killer steelhead jig in my area.

I'll take 10 of these. Thanks

thanks!!! not too much time on the thing, maybe 4 minutes? with my single mold and low tech paint process it honestly takes more time to pour and paint the heads!

I'm guessing you've done some fly tying as some of those bodies resemble wet flies.

Great stuff, Blake. Been tying for years, but just getting in to tying jigs and bass poppers/bugs.  I'm a bit behind finding your thread here, nevertheless...thanks for posting the pics!

Actually tying them as a way to never have to fly fish 🤣 Moved from oklahoma to Utah and am trying out the whole trout thing, actually bought a bfs rig so J can “bass” fish for trout lol!

I appreciate it! I have some new molds coming for christmas and i’m excited to learn some new things.

I really want to tie those on and cast them into the water, particularly the first one.  That's one sexy lure.

What are you using as a trailer for this?

Sorry must have forgot to reply! It’s the TRD bugz. I’ve added a weed guard and tied in a wire keeper. It’s actually been surprisingly difficult to make a jig this small that I’m happy with with the currently available molds. Finally to the point where I’m satisfied and ready to get them in front of some fish!
