^An actual AI photo you mean.^

any water that is at least ankle deep...............I don't care where it's at.......but Florida is home for me. So. I'd have to say my favorite is the Big O.....I can fish a variety of ways on that lake at any time.

I'm hesitant to list out my favorite largemouth lakes on a public forum since several of them are not very big, and I'm smarter than that.  I target them because they do not receive tournament angling pressure.

Mille Lacs Lake is my favorite smallmouth water.

Any clear body of water.

I do MUCH better in gin clear water simply because that's what I'm use to.

In VA my favorite lake is Philpott.

I've fished everything from small, subdivision ponds to the Great Lakes. I'll fish a rain puddle if it's my only option. Picking a favorite is fairly easy for me........a Minnesota or Wisconsin natural lake. I get overwhelmed by big impoundments and small ponds are like cheating. Give me the challenge and the reward of figuring out the secrets of a natural lake and I'm in my element.

Nothing like the glades! Home away from home. I've gone to many other bodies of water and cannot wait to get back out into the glades. It's a smug feeling, like being at home. Other places do produce but not like the everglades! There's a surprise around ever corner. Big fish everywhere. Not uncommon to catch over a hundred fish a day. Not uncommon to catch trophy fish every outing. Just never know what to expect out there. It's fun and adventurous at every level; I feel content and well satisfied and look forward to returning. For me, that's what fishing is all about!

It's cool that most of us are fishing exactly where we want to be.

I'm not, but I'm still happy where I am. I'm just not young enough and tough enough`to reach wilderness lakes anymore. You drive to the end of pavement and then you turn down a long-abandoned logging road. Again and again, you get out and wade through water, testing the bottom. Again and again, you have to cut and clear downed trees.

Eventually, you MIGHT reach your put-in point, but many times, you are turned back. If you DO reach your put-in point, that's where the real work begins, as I didn't fish lakes with portage trails. It's bushwhacking with a canoe on your head and mosquitoes in your mouth and nose.

It's a young person's game, so I make do with my little, local lakes and swamps and when their loons sing and the eagles take wing, for a second, I can pretend I'm back in the wilderness again.

I swear, I read this and heard it in Carl Denham’s (Robert Armstrong) voice as he announced King Kong (1933 original). 😂
