Been thinking of replacing my old Nasci FB 1000 on my UL setup (st Croix premier 6’ UL)

 

just saw by stacking the current sale on the reel, Presidents’ Day sale, and Omnia credits, I can snag a 1000 size Seviin GX for $48. For a reel that’s normally $190, that seems good but does anyone have experience with this reel?

Well I certainly don’t have any experience with the reel but good grief I don’t think you’re going to go wrong with any reel in the $150.00 plus price range for $48.00. I mean seriously even if you wind up hating it within the first couple of months you can sell it for 1/2 the retail and still be money ahead.  Seriously if you buy it and absolutely hate it personal message me and maybe we can work out a deal as I’m currently trying to find a spinning reel and I love the 1000 sized reels.

I believe that is affiliated with St. croix, so I can’t imagine it’s a bad reel. Size 1000 is like an ultralight reel. 
im  sure its worth it.

Seviin IS St Croix - it's the name they use for their reels to differentiate them from their rods.

 

Well I thought about it and ended up using my credits towards protecting my gear

 

got 9 rod gloves and 5 reel covers for $18 all said and done. I’ve had too many rod breakages and eye issues due to them all getting tangled up in the truck. I even let them ride in the cab and I still have problems

I haven’t had any experience with their spinning reels but I have a baitcasters and I am extremely happy with it so I imagine their spinning reels are on the same page.
