Reaction innovations sweet beaver. Split the tail, or leave it together?

Featured Replies

I’ve been fishing the sweet beaver for over a decade and I can’t say I’ve ever left the “tail” together. Even when I plan to try it in one piece, force of habit always leads me to pull it apart.

So what about you all? Do you like the tail single? Or split?

I almost always split the tails myself....I believe the reason you would leave the tail is for a more gliding action and less action when fish are sluggish....I find the tails break apart easily anyway when pitching which is the only time I really use them.

Great creature bait either way. Love the colors they offer.

I don't fish it much but I leave the tail connected when I do.

It goes back to when I first threw them, it's just a habit I guess.

Always split the tail.
The action of a twin tailed bait comes as a package.
A heavy bodied plastic can undulate as a thin bodied one can sway while some depending on how it made can wiggle ever so slightly.

My point is they’re made as a package.
By not splitting you’re hindering the reason what it’s designed to do

I’ve never fished the reaction innovations. But anytime I fish a beaver style bait. I always split the tails. I generally want the most action the bait will offer.

RI sweet beaver is hands down my favorite SP bait. I always split the tail unless I’m trying to emulate a bluegill.

Yeah, they do have a lot of great color choices.

Split it and forget it
