As long as they seem OK and are not bleeding profusely, in they go. 

I call it The Pool. I always release them before I move spots.

There have been a lot of trips where all the bass were caught on one or two baits, around a certain type of structure.  Then there have been the trips where you catch 10 bass on 10 different baits, in 10 different locations.

     I find the "pattern" will change through out the day here in Texas. In the morning, sun up. Shad spawn may be happening and it is katy-bar-the-door for that first hour or two is I am lucky. Then after that feeding window closes. It will just flat die.

     I'll move out deeper or hunt for hydrilla, lily pads, lay downs and under docks. Basically ambush points for bass. Those dark nook and crannies where Gertrude or Hazel can hide under cover and wait for a meal to swim by.  I am a firm believer in find the food, find the fish. Also find the pretty green hydrilla or coon tail or just live living plant growth and you'll be in the basses living room.

A pattern is just consistent strikes with the same conditions within a specific area without change.

All it is is their way of telling you that you found me and my pals and we like what you’re doing and how you’re doing it….

The trick is not only to identify what it is, but to also know when it’s not. 
 

Eliminating water in any given area is also establishing a pattern.
