The project is done!!!! Get my boat out!

I have needed a new driveway and street approach for years.  Well it’s done:  866 square feet.  I had the section in front of the garage door smooth troweled so I can

manhandle the boat in the opening. I have two inches on each side for clearance.  The tear out was hard, grading was easy.  The pour went exceptionally well.  I had three finishers that  nailed it.  Added some stamp and borders.  I’m too old for this.

I worked for and retired from one of the largest mining and aggregate construction materials corporation in the world.

Theres more to designing, forming, grading, pouring, finishing, stripping, curing and jointing the finished product than most realize.

It’s not for the faint of heart.

Excellent work!!

First three summers after high school I worked in a beef packing plant (actually a slaughter house). I was in the cooler loading sides of beef on to trucks. Hard work. But it was 28 degrees all summer inside that cooler.

The fourth summer I worked for a concrete crew. Ran a jack-hammer some of the time, and helped with pours the remainder. Difficult work for sure!

I would rather work the packing house.

Love the stamps!
