Anyone scoring with the fuzzy dice?

Anyone caught enough bass with the fuzzy dice lures to justify their cost?

I bought a dozen packs of the Geecrack version (IDK why I always do this to myself). I've caught 1 fish on them so far. I still have confidence that I'll figure them out, but it hasn't happened yet.

I've mostly been fishing them on a wacky hook with a nail weight to help it sink, but going to start using it on the drop shot more to see if that helps.

I'm catching fish on dice baits, but I'm making my own. Get some 7" Stick O's from BPS in whatever color you like, and some skirt material in whatever color you like (you can use strands from old baits. I got an upholstery needle kit from Dollar General and use that to run the strands of skirt through the cut up Stick O. The whole lot of my materials is less than a pack of dice and minus it being a little time consuming, it's still effective.

Interesting discussion, thanks all. Thanks for the video @Glenn

Interesting to hear both sides of the dice bait experience. I’ve been on the fence about trying them myself — love the idea, but the price tag stings. Might try the DIY route first and see how they stack up before investing in the real deal.

I'm making mine as well.  Ordered a couple silicone ice cube trays as molds and bought some large sewing needles for the strands of skirt.  I've already added strands of skirt material to some baits but haven't had a chance to try them out yet.  I'm definitely not buying these baits from Tackle Warehouse.

I made some when I first started experimenting with them. The Geecrack version isn't too expensive- like $12-13 per 4 pack. I've had the same one on a hook for the last 3 or 4 trips so they hold up pretty well. If I had more free time, I'd probably make them myself, but I'm willing to pay the Geecrack price for now.

Haven't purchased any yet.

Can't see myself either.

I'm normally about a decade behind whatever is hot so ask me in 2035.  LOL

This is what I made from an old pack of Zoom grubs and a 25 year old jig that I took the purple skirt off.  I like green pumpkin/purple for smallies.  It cost me $6 for a silicone ice cube tray and $4 for some sewing needles and I'll be able to make as many of these in as many color combinations as I like.  IMG_0552.jpg.3fe4561b3b9b3c050f7fb28b0eb21ad5.jpg

The only fuzzy dice I have hang from the rear view mirror of our '68 Buick GS convertible.

I'm also not paying $19.99 for a pack of four.

I saw someone making a silicone mold and I figured a silicone ice cube tray would work (it did).  It does take some time to thread all the skirt material.
